Activities & Sightseeing
ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE!
It's Even Better Than You Think.
Western New York is magical. We know. We live here.
You should visit the Enchanted Mountains like you live here, too.
The Old Library Inn is just steps to the numerous recreational activities & cultural attractions in beautiful Cattaraugus County. Right around the corner from the inn, you can gaze at the grandeur of The Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels Roman Catholic Church, and just steps from there, you can have a craft brew from Four Mile Brewing Co., nestled along the Alleghany River. Head back down Union street to enjoy casual dining, shopping and a little night life. Olean's historic district, downtown shops, and captivating scenery provide endless sightseeing and entertainment for all.
Cattaraugus County is known for its amazing landscape and all it has to offer to the outdoor enthusiast. In the winter months, venture to Holiday Valley Ski Resort to enjoy some skiing and snowboarding or explore 450 miles of snowmobiling trails throughout the county – or maybe some ice fishing.
In the warmer months, gather your gear for a day of hiking, horseback riding, fishing, golfing, or camping at Allegany State Park, or visit the natural wonder and history of Rock City Park. Of course, the Alleghany River and our rolling Enchanted Mountains are the foundation of our landscape, where kayaking, rafting, boating and fishing are at the top of the list.
